Nalamada Uttam Kumar Reddy is a prominent Indian politician and the current Member of Parliament (MP) for Nalgonda. A senior leader of the Indian National Congress (INC), he has consistently won every election he has contested. Reddy has also served as the President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) and has been instrumental in shaping the political landscape of Telangana.  

Uttam Kumar Reddy's career includes roles as the Minister of Housing in Andhra Pradesh and the Minister for Irrigation, Food & Civil Supplies in Telangana, where he took office on December 7, 2024. His legislative journey began as an MLA for Kodad constituency (1999-2009) and continued with Huzurnagar constituency (2009-2019). He won the 2019 general elections as an MP from Nalgonda and again triumphed in the 2023 Assembly Elections from Huzurnagar.

Before politics, Reddy was an esteemed fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force, flying MiG 21 and MiG 23 jets. He also managed security, protocol, and administration at Rashtrapati Bhavan. With a B.Sc. degree, Reddy’s background combines military precision with political leadership.
